Shire Leasing attended the Asset Finance Connect Summer Awards on the 13th of July 2022, which took place at the exclusive Hurlingham Club in London. The awards evening celebrated innovation and industry best practices in auto and equipment finance, recognising outstanding contributions from companies and individuals within the industry.
Shire Leasing won the ‘Digital Direct 2 Customer Development’ award in recognition of its e-commerce leasing solution, Click2Finance. The solution allows B2B equipment suppliers to offer Finance Lease as a payment method from their web-basket and for customers to complete a fully automated lease application online. After much development, the award-winning solution includes real-time underwriting, identity confirmation steps and fraud checks, resulting in a seamless, end-to-end lease application which can enable an lease order to be placed and prepared for delivery as soon as the next day.
Another trophy was also taken home by Shire Leasing for being Highly Commended in the ‘Mobility Services Innovation’ category. This was in recognition of Shire’s Driving Clean Air Initiative, which offers vehicle financial support for businesses affected by local Clean Air Zones. Since 2019, Shire Leasing has worked with local authorities to deliver government grants and interest-free finance solutions to UK SMEs, enabling non-compliant vehicles to be replaced affordably. The commendation follows on from winning the ‘Supporting Customer ESG Goals‘ award at the Leasing World CSE Excellence Awards earlier in the year.
