Inspiring the Next Generation: Shire’s Commitment to Youth Development

At Shire Leasing, we believe in investing in the future by empowering young people with the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Since 2017, our Legal and Compliance team has partnered with local schools and universities to deliver outreach programmes, work experience placements, and enrichment initiatives.

From mock interviews and CV workshops to hands-on legal projects, we aim to turn uncertainty into opportunity. Our involvement includes:

  • Local Schools Outreach: Helping students prepare for interviews, understand commercial awareness, and master communication skills.
  • University of Warwick Law Outreach: Supporting the Sutton Trust programme for disadvantaged students with week-long placements.
  • Law Student Work Experience: Offering summer placements since 2014 to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
  • Enrichment Programme: A six-month initiative for A-level students to gain real-world experience in law and business.

These programmes are more than learning opportunities, they are a chance to inspire ambition and shape futures.
