Farm & Pet Place are the leading equine and pet suppliers in North Wales. They stock everything from dog and cat food to farm accessories such as water troughs and electric fencing. Importing stock from the USA, they distribute their products across the UK. Not content to stay still, the Managing Director, Sion Pritchard, was keen to grow the business further. He had 4 shops across North Wales and was looking to expand 2 of them.
Sion had only previously known Shire Leasing Plc through its association with BT. He was totally unaware of the extent to which Shire could help businesses like his. He first approached Shire back in 2013 when he was interested in acquiring plastic pallets, which he had struggled to finance elsewhere. Put in contact with Bethan Jones, one of Shire’s Regional Account Managers, he was subsequently able to secure a quick and simple solution and within no time, he was eager to work with her again.
Sion’s next engagement with Bethan came shortly after, when he requested Shire’s services to secure a loan to pay for his imports of plastic pet toys. With the process again proving simple and straightforward, he insisted on working with Bethan for all of his finance needs.
The future is looking increasingly bright for Farm & Pet Place. With the help of Shire, they are currently looking at a £750,000 project to extend one of the pet shops to incorporate its own veterinary clinic, due to be completed by October 2015. Keen to go further, Sion is also working with Shire to get his entire fleet of vans and trucks financed by mid-2016.
“I would highly recommend dealing with Bethan Jones from Shire Leasing Plc. Bethan has dealt with a number of projects for our company and will be dealing with more of our upcoming projects. Bethan provides a professional service, with great communication being only a phone call away. The process is quick and efficient and documentation can be signed electronically saving time and waste. We will continue to use Shire Leasing Plc for all our financing needs.”
