On Friday 23rd September, Shire Business Group held a Coffee and Cake Sale to fundraise for MacMillan Cancer Support.
Employees took part by bringing in cakes and biscuits for the cause as well as joining in with some fun competitions, including guess the weight of the sweet jar, a raffle to win a coffee machine (kindly donated by CreditSafe) and most imaginative cake. Check out the winning cake by Abbie Black, which took two days to make and was filled with sweets.
The day was a great success with Shire employees raising £327.48, matched by Shire Leasing Plc to amount to a grand total of £654.96 for MacMillan Cancer Support – a brilliant outcome for such a good cause.
Shire were fortunate to have such a great time fundraising and our thoughts are with the individuals and families who have and continue to battle with the consequences of cancer.
