Shire Leasing Plc has announced a new Sales Apprenticeship scheme, which has been launched in a bid to capture the cream of the new talent entering the market at the end of the academic year. The introduction of this initiative heralds an expansion to the existing range of apprenticeships available within the administrative areas of the company.
Sharon Price, Sales Director, supports the initiative, “The development of junior sales over the years has positively contributed to the success of our sales teams. This new initiative will certainly enhance and promote this.”
The advent of the Apprenticeship Levy has focussed the attention of many employers and Shire Leasing is no exception. Debra Amos, Head of HR, commented, “We are investing heavily along with other industry leaders in the Government’s commitment to build on the skill base in the UK. The contribution that we can make to this through our new scheme will offer the brightest candidates a bespoke training programme and a recognised qualification to help them take the first steps on their career ladder.”
Each new Sales Apprentice will spend their time following a programme of formal training, on-the-job coaching and continual external assessment. After 12 months, there will be opportunities to be considered for a permanent sales position within the Group.
