Shire Leasing Plc has earned a prestigious innovation award at a lavish industry ceremony in London.
The Leasing World Awards recognises achievement in the financial services sector, and this year’s Innovator of the Year Award was presented to Shire Leasing, in recognition of its Master Broker scheme.
Based in Tamworth and employing 190 people from across the midlands, Shire Leasing Plc provides business support to over 50,000 SMEs across the UK, helping them to prepare for future growth. Its commitment to delivering accessible and flexible finance and funding services to businesses has seen many innovations and developments in Shire’s services offering. Master Broker represents the latest of these innovations, and sees Shire launch itself as the UK’s first broker to broker lender – something which the industry has been reluctant to support in the past.

The award represents the culmination of a year of successes for the business, which has seen continued growth despite the tough economic conditions and the slow but steady recovery. Building on this success, Shire has created two recruitment programmes to bring new talent into the organisation – a sales academy and a graduate programme, and is committed to future growth in the region.
